The concert, titled Folk Reimagined: East in Symphony, brought together the Guizhou Chinese Orchestra and The Australia Orchestra in a one-night-only performance that blended Chinese folk music with Western symphonic grandeur.

The evening commenced with the ethereal harmonies of the UNESCO-recognized Guizhou Kam Grand Choir, followed by the stirring energy of the iconic Yellow River Piano Concerto. Audiences were then taken on a musical journey through vivid orchestral interpretations of stories from China’s Four Great Classical Novels, culminating in a spectacular new symphonic fantasy inspired by the contemporary gaming phenomenon Black Myth: Wukong .
